OOTD...........Weekend Werk Werk Werk Werk Werk!

I spent this past weekend working the booth for BSGO Jewelry for an annual local Holiday Market.  It's a rather large market and was hosted by a local high school to help raise money for student scholarships. Coincidentally, on Saturday, we received our first real cold front of the season. I knew that I would need to throw together an outfit that was relatively warm and obviously comfortable since I would be standing for long periods of time. The market was held in a revamped barnyard, so I knew that the insulation could be tricky.  So I opted to wear a long sleeve plaid button down from last year's Zara collection.  Zara rolls out new versions of this plaid shirt every year, so I will link some styles that are extremely similar.  I paired this shirt over a pair of high waist jeans that I purchased from Target.  The fit on these jeans are perfect and I find myself wearing them at least twice a week. It has a little bit of distressing, but no real holes, so I can get away with them at work.  As a matter of fact, I have them on right now. This jean is still available and will be linked below.

Okay, so far, my look is pretty basic.  And Staci doesn't like basic.   So I started brainstorming ways to amp up this look in a way that was appropriate for the occasion.  After all, I was actually working, so I needed to be comfortable and easy, but still Staci cute.  Then I remembered this sheer long loose dress that I picked up from Zara last month.  Ah ha!  This would be the PERFECT layering piece to wear over this ensemble, and it would give my look a lot of much needed edge.  I love it when a plan comes together.  This is one of those pieces that you see on the rack and will have no idea how you would even wear it.  But the truth is that this can be worn over pretty much anything.  It can be paired with a body hugging dress, a full coverage catsuit (ooooooh I may try that), a simple tank and jeans, or even shorts and a tee.  And the best thing about this dress is that it has pockets!!!!   YASSS!!!! To finish the look, I reached for my Target booties, which I have talked about ad nauseam. I wear these shoes often because they are extremely comfortable.  Target + DV = Perfection. And last, of course, no look is complete without jewelry.  I chose this dainty "Texas" pendant because I wanted to keep the overall look really casual. However, a large collar or statement necklace, paired with a pair of cute heels makes this look dinner and cocktails ready!  Check out the look below.
