Call a Spade a Spade

Have you heard about the Kate Spade surprise sale?  If not, keep reading. Basically, a few times a year, Kate Spade has an online sale that features items up to 75% off.  The sales runs for 5 days and it happens randomly throughout the year. However, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they usually run this sale towards the end of a season, as a way to clear through merchandise to make room for new incoming product for the upcoming season. The site is not run through their regular site.  It's a different website that I will link below.  The only caveat to obtaining access to the sale is that you have to sign up for their email list. That's about it.

Why?

If you're looking for an affordable designer high quality bag, Kate Spade is the brand you should really consider. Unlike a lot of brands in this space with similar price points (they shall remain nameless), this brand actually has its own design aesthetic.  To put it bluntly, they don't do a lot of ripping off of other designers. Sure, there are always going to be some "me too" bags, such as the quilted Chanel knock off, that every brand under the sun seems to emulate. But all in all, their bags look like their bags.  Their design lines are very clean and simple, and their signature bow is almost iconic. I also like the fact that you won't see ostentatious bags covered with Kate Spade logos.  Leave that to LV and Gucci, which are the only acceptable brands that are allowed to do that, as far as I'm concerned. On Kate Spade bags, the logo is very subtle and so is the placement.

What?

The next question you should be ask is if there is anything that is actually good in the sale. Well, I'm glad you asked. Yes. Why yes there is?  Great question! There are indeed some great finds and of course I'll give you my top picks. Oh, and one last thing. Although there are some items at 75% off, the vast majority of these styles are between 60-70% off. You know how retailers do.   But even at 60-70% off, these prices are almost too good to pass up.  However, there are also no returns or exchanges allowed. There is also apparel, jewelry, and other accessories that are included in the sale as well. Some of the smaller accessories could make great gifts for family and friends, so be sure to check those out.

When?

It started a couple of days ago and it ends in 3 days, 16 hours and counting. The good stuff will sell out, so if you're interested, don't wait.

Where?

Below is the coveted link.  Unfortunately, I can't link the styles like I usually do because of the secret site link.  However, I will provide photos, the bag name and all of the retail formation as usual.
