Why are Fashion Girls....or Guys....Wearing Neon?

Neon is everywhere this season and I understand why. Neon colored fashion staples, such a simple tee or shoes, always makes an outfit a hundred times more interesting. So I’m always here for neon no matter the season or the year. This season, a fashion girl can find great neon staples at our favs like Zara, ASOS, Top Shop, and even H&M. If you consider neon trendy, then you should stick to the stores I just listed so that your investment is minimal.  If you think you’ll be reaching for these pieces for years and want a solid investment piece, then you’ll find great options on Revolve, Net-A-Porter, or Shopbop. Whether you go high or low, this is a trend I think everyone should try this season. It’s spring, it’s fun, and more importantly, it’s fashion.

Neon Vibes

A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a gorgeous neon green skirt while perusing the ASOS site. The next thing I remember was the PayPal home page. Two short days later, I was the proud owner of said skirt. It’s a midi skirt (essentially a skirt that goes past your knees for the fashion novices), which in itself has been on trend for the past couple of years. It’s pleated, something I currently don’t have in my skirt collection, which gives it great movement when you’re sashaying across the room. To style this piece, I wanted to keep the complementing pieces simple because the star of the show is definitely the skirt. So I paired it with a t-shirt from Uniqlo I was gifted from my sweet assistant Sophia. (I heart her.) It’s a really cool piece and the quality is amazing. It’s the first thing I’ve ever owned from that brand and I like. Impressed. To finish the look, I paired the tee with my favorite fashion item of the moment…..my black double breasted H&M blazer. I have never owned a more perfect fashion staple. And honestly, it’s underpriced at $49.99. It feels like it’s worth twice the price.  I’m really into making any look athleisure because I’m tired of heels, so I finished the look with a pair of neutral Adidas Originals sneakers. The juxtaposition of the feminine skirt with the masculine sneakers really pulls the look together. It’s also a look that’s extremely easy to recreate. As always, everything will be linked below.
