She What?

She What?

True Story.  So about a month ago, I stumbled into the abyss of YouTube videos about this website called SheIn.  They are based out of China and they sell cheap, fast fashion.  I was skeptical because there are a plethora of websites and even Instagram stores that will send you a gross misrepresentation of what you thought you were ordering.  So I didn't want to get got.  Nevertheless, I decided to try out the site since the clothes were so inexpensive and the worst thing I've heard about this site was related to sizing being too small.  I'm relatively thin, so that should be less of an issue for me.  Plus, this site does have reviews and they allow customers to post pictures of themselves wearing the clothes.  So that made me feel a tad bit more comfortable ordering.  I ordered three shirts, which came out to be about $52 total.  I may have used a discount code, but honestly, I don't remember.  Probably.

Week One After Ordering

Still no clothes.  Still no shipping notification.  Sigh.  Let's discuss Staci's patience level when it comes to buying items online.  Staci has none.  I wait because I have to and not because I'm unbothered.  I stay bothered about extended shipping times.  This also irritated me because I specifically chose items that were tagged "priority dispatching", which I assumed communicated that it would ship out faster.  I actually took things out of my cart that didn't have this "priority" tag on the item because I wanted everything to ship as soon as possible.  So I finally email customer service.  It's China, so they emailed the next day and told me they were having a bit of a delay with the shipping company.  *Side Eye*  Ummkay.

Four Days Later

I receive an email saying that my order was getting ready to ship.  However, it still didn't clarify that it had actually shipped.  So I was skeptical.

Two Full Weeks After Ordering

Still no clothes.  Still no additional shipping information.  I checked my order status and the order was still "in process".  I do see that their website now has a banner on the homepage that says they are going through a warehouse move so there is a 3-5 day shipping delay.  I feel some kind of way about that.  If companies know that shipping will be extremely delayed, then let a sister know before she places the order.  This banner was not present when I ordered.  Don't hold my money or my clothes hostage as you get your ish together.  Status:  Highly Annoyed Ascending to Levels of Extreme Pissivity

Two and 3 Quarter Weeks After Ordering

I get this email and I respond accordingly.  I don't even think that mailbox can receive replies to those emails, but I was so mad I just pressed send.  At this point, I thought this company was a scam and that I was never getting the clothes I ordered.  It's now going on three weeks.

Three Full Weeks After I Ordered

I finally received my clothes.  I was shocked because a few days before, I got the email telling me that there was another delay.  But I'm assuming this was an automatically generated email to anyone that had an outstanding order out because my order had to already be in transit when the email was sent.  So I opened the package.  Each of the shirts are packed in 3 different plastic bags.  They put the "no" in no frills.  Two of my items were extremely wrinkled and they had no care labels.  But I've got to say, I don't hate any of my items.  I've already worn one and complete outfit details will be listed below.  It took me about 15 minutes to steam this shirt, but I really did like it after I was done.  It's a little thin, but it's really lightweight and perfect for the summer weather.  I'll post the other two items I received as well.

Overall, I'd give my experience a D-.  You get what you pay for, I suppose.  I will not endorse this website simply because my first experience was bad and I'm not going to be held responsible for recommending this site given my limited experience with them.  But I will likely try them again because they do have a ton of cute things on this site and I did like the pieces that I purchased.  See one of the tops styled below, along with the other two shirts that I ordered.
