A Swimsuit Story by Staci J

I’ve been doing a ton of vacationing the past few months because due to my work schedule, this is simply the most convenient time be out of the office. Whether I was stateside in Miami or at a beach resort in Mexico, I wanted to make sure I looked the part. Simply put, I had to step up my swimsuit game. As much of a fashionista (as some would call me) I am, I didn’t have a lot of swimwear going into the summer season. Believe it or not, I’ve never been the most comfortable exposing a lot of my body. I know that this is hard to believe because I have a relatively small frame, but in the past I’ve also suffered from a ton of skin blemishes and imperfections. Thankfully, my skin has gotten much better, but I’ve also willfully taught myself that it doesn’t have to be perfect to still be beautiful. My skin is beautiful no matter what because it’s my skin! And guess what? I’m forty! I look good for forty. Some people don’t get to live to be forty, so I’ve decided that I’m going to celebrate myself in the skin I’m in no matter the condition. That is a promise I made to myself and I intend to keep it.
